I had to go onto a sickness benefit to be able to live. Drs sent me to a Psychiatrist who put me on a really heavy Anti Depressants. These were so strong that I constantly had vivid nightmares and had to ask for something weaker just to be able to cope.
I reached a point that I just stopped taking them. After not being able to work properly I had to stop and seek another form of help .
Imagine this:-
Walk along a footpath (about 1.2 mts wide) for 20 mts. All the time you are veering to the left, and unable to correct yourself and be able to walk in a straight line.
As you reach the 20 mtr point you are on the extreme left of the footpath and the only way to safely continue is to side step to your right and start off again.
I used to describe driving being like the original Star Trek with the stars rushing towards you on the big screen as the hit warp factor. In my case those stars were the power poles on the side of the road. So I gave up driving
